Don't run away from this item. I was so excited to buy a "green pan" after reading about all the bad things in nonstick cookware and it seemed perfect. The first few times my husband used it, although it was badly charred on the bottom and smelled awful, I attributed it to the fact that it set the food on fire, not the quality of the pan based on the good reviews. However, when I used it last night and slowly and carefully cooked the meatballs, the toxic chemical smell was overpowering. I went to the Greenpans website and couldn't find a pan that looked like this. They all have solid silver metal handles, nothing like this pot's black and white plastic. Now I have a different green frying pan and when I put them next to each other I was shocked. I can't believe I cooked for my three kids on this toxic piece of junk. For your health and safety, please do not consider purchasing this item!
