Review on Enhancing Your Mini Pet Gate: Carlson 24-Inch Extension for Maximum Confinement by Jasmine Harris

I bought a Carlson gate with a small extension to cover my child's bedroom to keep dogs out as these were the only carpeted rooms and they were excellent for the purpose. The gate is low enough for even my 4 year old to step over and they don't allow dogs (and their 1 year old little sister) in their room. But we had to remove the gate from the children's room to let them in and out and we already have problems with dogs walking on the carpet. So I decided that I wanted to keep the dogs in the kitchen most of the time when we weren't all home watching them. I bought this 24" extension to use with the gate and it fits perfectly in the 44.5" space I needed to go through the gate. I had to take the gray plastic piece off that you twist to tighten and use the rubber end stops without them because they were very tight and the gate would be too long with them. I only used one that ends up going under the cabinets. One of my chihuahuas was able to squeeze through this space under our previous wooden gate so it saved her little red wagon! I think they could jump over it if they tried, they just haven't figured it out yet. So for now this gate is perfect for what I need it for! Buying this extension for about $20 saved me from having to buy a brand new gate. Love the versatility of the different size extensions they sell with the original gate!
