The tool that rotates the gear to loosen the vanos is not manufactured correctly. I thought I was done, my cams are locked and the pin is too fat to actually hook onto the gear. Luckily I was able to sand it and assemble it, but it's a hassle when you're in the middle of a job trying to figure that part out.

- These tools are also compatible with 4 and 6 cylinder BMW engines without vanos (no variable valve timing).
