We bought our first of these large padded cages 3 years ago when we had a Great Dane puppy. We planned to put it in a metal box and use it as a travel box for overnight trips to visit family. It worked really well for this purpose as it was easy to pack up and carry around. We were even able to fold it up with a dog bed in it, which made packing and unpacking the car easier. After 3 years of use and travel, our dog no longer uses a metal cage, he sleeps in this padded cage every night. Our 150 lb dog has plenty of room to stretch out and the feature we love about this cage is the top zip which we leave open and he has plenty of room to sit and stand up. She never knocked it over even when we got excited when we got home after leaving her in it at work. The zip on the side door eventually broke but given the wear and tear it has suffered over the years we were not disappointed at all, we have just bought our second box of this type and are confident it will last for many years to come She. The internal metal structure and the retractable crossbars, which are removed to fold it, were in perfect condition after so many years. For the price, this soft walled cage is unbeatable in strength and size for large and giant breeds. The color is great too, navy blue, way better than other fun green and orange soft walled drawers of its kind. We would have no hesitation in recommending this box to anyone and will definitely be buying from this brand again in the future.
