Okay, first of all yes, it's quite expensive. That's a lot of money for a few light decorations. But knowing what's going on, I think it's worth it. You get a lot of light and it covers a good area. There's about 2 feet between each light, so the lights will be pretty close. The stakes attached to the back of the lanterns break off fairly easily, so be careful when moving the lanterns. We first got them for Christmas but we won't be taking them off year round as you can change the lights. as well as color combinations. They are very bright and can be seen tens of meters away. Just remember these are not headlights. But I'm glad we have them and they look good in the garden.
