Part does not work properly for exhaust and emissions

I ordered this part from you about 2 weeks ago and have just found time to install the part on my car. After the mechanic installed it and took it for a test drive, the problem was much worse than before so he decided to return the old part and it worked better. He told me there was something wrong with the part.
