The fabric is soft and not so thin you'll see through, so I think it's made well (no weird or lose stitching either). I absolutely loved the color (although I was expecting a tad more red/magenta than it is, looks more royal purple, but the SLIGHT color variation could be due to my computer screen and is within an acceptable difference).I bought this dress because I'm 7 months pregnant and need maternity dresses for work for the summer. Normally I'm 5'7" 145 lbs athletic build (I'm a runner), and pregnant, I'm all belly and weigh 165 lbs now. IF I had bought this dress for non-pregnant me, I would have done well with a small or even x-small (I usually wear a size 6 and am very busty wearing a 32 DD bra). If you are petite framed (and chested) this dress might be too large for you even with an extra small. Being pregnant, I've put on very little excess weight and am mostly baby belly. but it's my 3rd child, so it's not a small belly. I bought a medium, and it's a perfect fit, with room for the remainder of my pregnancy, and will probably suit me well in my postpartum months as I attempt to get back to my normal size. In my opinion the dress runs large, but I ordered appropriately for what I wanted it for so, I'm happy.My biggest complaint is that the material wrinkles VERY easily. I really prefer a wash/dry and go dress (if I'm going this casual). It's something that needs to be taken out of the dryer immediately and hung up if you don't want to iron or steam it.
