I turned it every which way, pinched into sharp creases and didn't see the slightest hint of white. Very glad it is pure food grade silicone! I've baked a bunch of quiche-like egg-based muffins that have a terrible tendency to stick in antique cast iron and three new baking pans. Here are my test results: 1) Antique cast iron, well seasoned and oiled. Serious error of judgment; had to burn off the gooey cake mix on the grill and completely reseason. Pooh. 2) Pantry Elements Silicone Non-Greased Pans - Pantry Elements Silicone Cake Pans/Baking Pans, 24 packs of colorful muffin cups in a storage jar - worked great, cupcakes popped right out leaving clean indentations 3) Calphalon Ceramic Non-Greased Baking Pans - Calphalon Signature Non-Stick Bakeware , 12 Cup Baking Pans, 2000 605 - Worked great, muffins popped right out leaving clean indentations. cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_64 - Works great, nothing sticks, cupcakes seemed to bake a bit slower but also burned less. Will all three of these new baking pans used without fat be my egg based muffins/quiches that cling to cast iron and steel, slip out like the cups were greased and leave no crumbs getting stuck in the indentations of any of the three ? . I am very glad that in my arsenal for baking there are all these molds and liners for muffins. They definitely deserve a spot in my kitchen! Very happy with this purchase!
