I wouldn't put this on my carbon Bronson but it certainly gave my old full suspension bike a second life. I've used pretty much every brand name shock and nothing beats this as an alternative to a rebuilt or used shock on an aging full suspension bike. Of course, if you have a very expensive rear shock that you spent over $500 on (or an expensive, expensive bike) you probably aren't going to spend money on a rebuild. On the other hand, if your bike comes with a base Rockshox, Manitou, spring damper, etc. I would recommend choosing one of those over a used or remanufactured one. It's perfect for the aging full suspension frame you'll ride until it falls apart. However, you should research the bushings as some makes and brands of a given year have different diameters for the actual bushing involved. In some cases you can just use bushings from your existing shock (12mm): Manitou (all years) Rockshox (05-07) X FusionSpecialized (07-up) DNMPro Tip: While this rear shock is cheap, don't skimp on the shock Pump. Cheap impact pumps tend to release a lot of air when unscrewed. Rear shock air reservoirs have a very low air volume so it can go from 200psi to 20psi in a fraction of a second if a cheap shock orifice is removed.
