A friend upgraded his trolling motor and gave me his used MK Power Drive V2 but the pedal was broken and he couldn't find the remote. So I decided to start with a replacement remote (much cheaper than a new foot pedal) so I could at least use it without spending over $150 all at once. This remote is very easy to sync up with the V2 trolling motor and works great. I'm not sure if I even need to buy a pedal as I haven't had any motor timing issues when pouring the fan. Of course I have to pause the casting while I make adjustments, but I can do it fast enough that it's not a problem for me. I also like the extra space up front without having to pedal and the fact that I can move around the boat and still control the engine.
