I like their shiny gold finish. It looks like gold leaf, not like the dull imitation brass of some others. They are small but perfect for my needs and the mirrored top reflects the light and looks very classy. I don't normally make identical coffee and coffee tables, but I bought both and am very satisfied. The upper stays attached to the legs with powerful magnets, but I'm not sure if this should be your first choice if you have large, energetic dogs or boisterous kids. But they are very beautiful and I am very happy with them.
