Review on 🎛️ Nobsound HiFi 6J2 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier Stereo PreAmp with Digital Treble and Bass Tone Control in Black by Katrina Brown

I bought this with the recommended upgraded GE JAN 5654W tubes so can't comment on the sound of the standard tubes but in the configuration I have this little preamp is great. I was curious to take the subway, thinking it was the cheapest route. I personally love the warmth and treble/bass control this preamp offers (just for reference, my setup is: SMSL X-USB ---> SMSL M6 ---> this unit ---> SMSL SA-60 Amplifier - ---> Klipsch Synergy B-10). While I know people don't like Klipsch speakers (my personal preference), this unit, combined with upgraded tubes, adds just enough tube warmth to please the ear. Remember that there are bass/treble controls to adjust to your liking. While I can't compare this to more expensive tube preamps or tube buffers, it will give you a noticeable tube tone if that's what you're after. Note that there is a large red power LED on the front and a faint blue glow below the lamps in addition to the glow of the lamps themselves. Place it between your sound source and your amp and you get tube-like sound at no extra cost. In other words, an entry-level vacuum tube.
