It would cost me about $700 to do this job professionally. Instead, it was the price of this part. What offer! I don't wield wrenches often, but I still managed to get the job done (despite being very meticulous) in under two hours. What gave me the confidence to get the job done was the built in alignment tool. It saved me from all the worries associated with this work. Just have someone tap the starter until the shaft shank roughly lines up with the notch on the synchronizer. Then you can safely remove the old synchronizer and replace it with a new one. Actually, it wasn't a hard job at all.
