I wanted a mug with a built in brewer that would be easy to use and clean and that would allow you to control the brewing time. This mug meets all of these requirements. Alternatively, you can use the same tea leaves for 1-2 more infusions. The micro-mesh filter prevents tea particles from seeping through, which was a big issue with another mug I tried (and came back after one use). I cannot recommend this mug enough. I ended up buying more to give as gifts.
