I needed a cable to replace a worn cable on a jet ski. It helped at a good price. I just used a hacksaw to cut through the ring of the heavy duty hook attached to one end. This allowed me to use the fabricated loop on that end for lifting. The free end is simply wound onto the hoist winch drum.
