Day and night improvement of the Ford Fiesta!

Radio reception in my 2013 Fiesta has always been intermittent. After about a year of ownership I ordered a replacement antenna (same size as the original) in hopes of improvement and in case things got worse. Bit the bullet and forced the audio store to install a CD head unit, thinking the radio itself was the problem. This helped filter out noise but still had relatively poor reception and turned off. Due to an installation error, the CD player drained my battery when the car was off, so it went off and the stock radio (with hiss) came back. I was about to give it up completely and admit that I've never had a good car radio before when I noticed this extended 20" antenna. Thought the twin so what. Installed it today and oh my god it has the factory radio completely changed. Comparable to the difference between AM quality and FM, except it was always FM. When the installer installed a set of speakers with a CD player, and they stayed, and I'm really hearing them now for the first time! Me sat in my car in the driveway for about 45 minutes listening to the radio the quality was so good and so great I was listening to radio stations I didn't even know existed and they were clear! It got to the point, which I had to pack it up before the battery died. The guy on Reddit said the bigger the antenna, the better the reception, and he wasn't kidding! The factory antenna is mounted at a very slight angle, almost parallel to the rear facing eten roof so I can see how a short antenna close to the body can cause poor reception. We hope it stays put! On the bag for your reference the source of the .com antenna is marked with a cool logo, part number A052. Shipped safely. Listed as fitting 07-14 Edge but should fit any current Ford model.
