This is an approximately 6 inch cylindrical, foldable, not overly foldable, lightly textured black plastic antenna. It fit perfectly in my 2005 Mazda 3 as if it originally came with the car. Although my previous antenna was slightly damaged, this new antenna seems to have improved my sound and range. If it breaks I would buy the same replacement. Installation wise it was quick like a Nascar pit stop but I guess it depends on the model. Hope that helps.
