Review on Melissa & Doug Dress-Up Construction Set for Preschoolers by Ronald Noel

My 2.5 year old grandson loves this toy! I bought it as a gift and was impressed with how durable the toy is. It's not that difficult for little hands to get and rearrange the pieces. He seems to take endless pleasure in changing the bears' outfits and describing what each bear does. I followed another reviewer's advice and painted the details on the back. I used a red daisy to represent Mama Bear's outfit and drew it on her character; a blue heart on the clothes and a figure of a bear cub; and a silver star on Papa Bear's clothing and figure. That way, if he's not sure which head or piece of clothing goes with which bear, he can match the small design on the back with the design on the figure. When I showed him how to match them with these colored symbols, it helped a lot. A big thank you to mom for this idea!
