Review on K2 Skate Inline Skates Black Sports & Fitness by John Swain

First great skates but the skateboard tore my ankle in the middle of the skate and could have hurt me

I ordered these skates on August 9th 2020 and loved it but now it is January 28th 2021 and in just six months they broke. These are the most expensive skates I've ever bought, I paid $280 for them. I read all the positive reviews and I love skating so I took a leap of faith and decided to buy these because I need quality skates that will stand the test of time. They were great initially, they're comfortable, they look good and when they're thin you don't feel every rut in the road or pavement when you're driving. You also feel completely safe. However, I live in south Los Angeles near the University of Southern California and today I was driving before work as I often do and without warning my ankle on one of my boots failed. Thank goodness I slowed down and skied offpiste because I could REALLY get hurt. At first I thought maybe just one of my straps or laces had come loose, but when I looked closely I saw that the screw connecting the two plastic sides had come loose. I was a little over a mile from home and had to walk around South Central Los Angeles in my socks with skateboard boots in hand. If only they ran closer to my house, I got a really intimate glimpse of my neighborhood as I walked that mile in my socks and learned to be more grateful for shoes. Maybe bring a backpack with shoes if you decide to ride in it?
