This is exactly what we needed - a secure way to store our customers' data in transit that didn't require any special software or training once set up requires. The setup instructions could have been a bit simpler (more step-by-step pictures, more explanations of each step, and less information in the tables) since many admins who need to manage admin and user passwords are not technical people. savvy, but that's really the only major complaint I have. The device has both an admin PIN and a user PIN, which was unexpected and handy for restricting which users can change PINs on the device. The Quick Start Guide doesn't really explain the difference between an Admin PIN and a User PIN, but after reading the instructions on how to set a User PIN, you'll understand that an Admin PIN is required. An additional nice safety feature is that it automatically hangs for about a minute when idle. This helps protect information on the device if someone accidentally walks away from their computer when both the workstation and drive are unlocked. The device makes a solid and well-made impression. Even the keyboard keys feel solid and durable. The text for the numbers is under a transparent cover, which hopefully means frequently entered PIN numbers aren't visible when worn. The USB cable is built-in, which means it can't be lost; I just wish the cord was a little longer as the only way I can place it right now is right in front of my laptop's exhaust fan. End-user operation is simple: 1) plug it into the USB port; 2) wait for the red unlock icon to appear (after the device has performed a brief automatic self-test); 3) Insert the admin or user PIN, 4) press the unlock button, 5) use the drive like any traditional portable drive!
