If the leather was 12" instead of 8" it would have been easier to hold the lanyard on the table with your hand. It is too short to attach to a table or workbench for manual straightening. The leather is of very good quality but a bit thin. It comes pre-cut with an adhesive pad for attaching to a fixed object, but if you do this you will lose one side of the lanyard. Overall it's useful but overpriced for what you get.
