This seller should remove all mention of 4AWG from the listing as this wire does not meet the AWG (American Wire Gauge) specification. You use both terms. 4 Gauge and 4 AWG are listed which is misleading and confusing. 4 AWG is meant to indicate that it meets the standard for size and copper content, while 4 AWG may vary slightly and has no set standard. I bought the 20ft length and am less disappointed with the fact that it ended up being a few inches shorter than the 20ft length than with the mismatch in specs. I put this wire alongside 3 other manufacturers wires, true 4 AWG wires, and there isn't much copper in this material. In their defense, the writing on the cable is marked #4 gauge, so I don't blame the cable itself. The wire isn't bad at all and it says made in the USA. My issue is that the listing says anything about 4AWG, which I think borders on false advertising. I'm not advocating staying away from that wire, but rather hoping to prevent disappointment for those looking for 4AWG and feeling left out when they get it. things
