smells more like chemicals than leather AND there are creases that appear to be caused by the packaging or the way it was packaged. Only time will tell if this crease will "dissolve" or if a real leather smell will emerge. until I have the skin on a flat surface. I have no plans to return it, I might even ask if a similar skin is available but thinner. EDIT, the slight chemical smell went away after the leather covered the air in the garage for a few days. The crease also appears to be filling in.
