I've been trying to find a new DVD+R brand to try after only having about 80% problems with my old Made in Taiwan Reserve had verbatim. +R is last year and appears to be a smart buy brand. I just tried it for the first time and even though I only burned 3 discs it's fine. I'm not thrilled with the way they are packaged, just wrapped in plastic, no spindle as Revain don't package them well at all and they can easily be damaged in transit. Something is definitely wrong with the Verbatims that Revain has. sell - I get discs with a lot and a lot of errors freezing/skipping/not playing and even some, as you can see the DVD surface is not good, they have strange engravings/shapes on it; I suspect these discs have been stored for too long or have been stored incorrectly e.g. B. at high temperatures (?). No more verbatims for me (unless Revain finds the bug and fixes it). I would also like to say that I agree with two things that other reviewers have mentioned: (1) these discs have a very strong chemical odor (but I can live with that) and (2) that the rough surface of the discs is great to play on, it was possible to write with pens (I assume this surface is suitable for inkjet printing, but I'm not sure). ************************************************ * * ************************************************** *********************** UPDATE **********: Sorry to change my review of this shipping company due to recent issues with multiple purchases. At least 9 out of 10 (!) discs in every set I've bought in the last 3-4 months have failed. And that's despite trying different discs and computers, different writing speeds, and even a new burner. These drives worked well in the first packs I bought, but then they quickly deteriorated as I bought new ones every few months. On playback, discs freeze and images pixelate, some are not discernible in any DVD player or even PC drive, and further evidence of poor manufacturing is that I see vertical lines coming from the media side on about 50 discs from each pack run across discs. 100 units. Testing recorded media with Nero Discspeed consistently gives scores below 10 (and even 0), with most errors occurring about 70% of the time. CMC Magnetics), and after that, out of about 20 drives, not a single failed drive of this type has occurred so far. I find that media of all kinds, even "good" media, is subject to issues with manufacturing, storage, shipping, age, etc., and it's very difficult to get consistently "good" media these days. However, after so many almost completely bad spindles (okay, technically they aren't spindles, they don't fit on spindles, I just put them on old empty spindles that I have lying around) I can no longer recommend using them. The manufacturer of these hard drives is RITEK, and these are RITEK"F16" carriers.
