Enjoy the process and be proud that you have created a wonderful keepsake for you and your family!

I have made two of these stockings and have been very happy with each one. They become such a part of your life because of the time commitment. For me, they have become a way to relax every day. The hardest part about this project is sewing real stockings out of it. I'm not a seamstress at all, so I struggled with that for my first stocking. The second stocking went much smoother! I highly recommend replacing the felt that is included as the lining with good quality velvet or other quality fabric to line and tuck the stocking in! I would recommend this project to anyone willing to put in the time. There is nothing difficult about the needlework itself, I think that a complete cross-stitch beginner can handle it. The most important thing is to give yourself enough time to finish them before Christmas (1st stocking took 4 months, 2nd about 3). Enjoy the process and be proud that you have created a beautiful keepsake for you and your family! A friend showed me a technique to highlight the section you're working on in yellow and then orange when you're done. It helped me a lot to keep my place and I really don't know how I could have completed them without it! // My finished stockings!
