🎅 Dimensions X Stitch II Stocking: Santa's Jolly Sled Ride for a Magical Christmas Review

I would like to know how small the stitches are in this material. So this is the fifth Christmas stocking I've made and it's the smallest stitch size. The chart is color coded as well as symbols. Everything seems to be of good quality.

The set arrived very promptly and as promised. Just wanted other buyers to know that I ran out of thread for a few colors. I saw this comment from others so I was very careful when flashing it. Also, for a work like this stocking, I used backing material instead of the felt that came with it. It turned out great!

I have been embroidering with Dimensions sets for many years and am a highly skilled craftsman. I am disappointed in the quality of the thread in this kit. It wears lightly and isn't as premium as Dimensions normally are. On the plus side, I like the way they sort the threads in this set. I've NEVER seen it sorted that way, and every time I work with threads I wish they could use this kind of sorter. Despite the quality of the thread, I recommend this product.

I knit stockings for the whole family and have only recently started. I was shocked at how small the amount of Aida was (for a stocking!) and it took a little longer than I expected. The colors are great and the chart is easy to follow. The chart spans three pages, which can be unwieldy at times, and the overlapping stitches from chart to chart are *not* marked. I have made two of these stockings and have been very happy with each one. They become such a part of your life because of the time commitment. For me, they have become a way to relax every day. The hardest part about this project is sewing real stockings out of it. I'm not a seamstress at all, so I struggled with that for my first stocking. The second stocking went much smoother! This stocking is beautiful and I've had many compliments even though it's not quite finished yet. The color variations and details really make the image stand out.
