I started beekeeping as a hobby a few years ago and one problem in the summer is that it's hot to wear the hat. After seeing neck fans I realized it could be useful. The gulrear fan differs in design from most neck fans, making it very stable when placed close to the head - there isn't much room in a beehive. Fans are pretty loud at high frequencies, but I assume all Blade fans have the same problem. 3 speeds. The hard plastic piece on the back is more convenient than I thought, especially since the whole thing doesn't weigh very much at just 6.4 ounces. I really like that it uses a removable 18650 battery - it comes with 1800mAh and I have several 2500+ batteries so I can swap them out. The compartment is short so you need shorter unprotected cells. A reading lamp is probably fine for most people, but at my age I need to use the full brightness. It's a warmer light, so that's a plus. I wish the switches were further down - now you need both hands to reach the buttons. Also, it would be better if the light and fan buttons were further apart - I've found that I've hit the light button many times when trying to press the fan button. I think after a while I'll get used to it. Otherwise great fan!
