Worked as advertised. Just installed on 2 RV water supply hoses (25’ & 35’) spiral wound with extra loop at supply connector & where 2 hoses connected. Covered with 1” id x 1/2” thick Pre slit foam insulation. With outside temperatures dropping to 20° to 30° for 4-6 hours nightly with insulation and no heat cable hoses froze every night. With heating cable installed hoses never froze and shut off at approximately 45-50° water temperature. I have used self regulating heat cable for commercial/ industrial refrigerators and freezers in my career before I retired. Always works great
- Suitable for a wide range of pipes, including metal and plastic, both indoors and outdoors.
- The heating cable may not be suitable for use in older buildings with outdated electrical systems
