Review on Vornado Humidifier Notification Capacity Required by Angie Gonzalez

This VORNADO ELEMENT S HUMIDIFIER + STEAM (with automatic fill warning, 0.75 gallon capacity, no filters required) is a warm steam humidifier. There is a "hot", "warm" and "cold" vapor mode, but the "cold" mode still delivers air that is warm to the touch. In other words, when the device is set to "Cool", the device is NOT equivalent to a "Cool Mist" humidifier (such as a Crane Cool Mist humidifier) that emits unheated mist. The 3/4 gallon tank is both its best and worst feature. Best of all, the tank is very easy to fill and refill at the sink and is NOT very heavy when full. The worst thing is that the tank quickly runs out of water. It only has enough water to run overnight on a cold steam setting plus a minimum humidity setting of 30%. moisture, pretty much useless. Also, you don't need a refill notification as the tank is made of clear plastic and you can easily see that it needs to be refilled every morning. The humidifier increases the humidity in my bedroom by 6% to 8% overnight, so that's somewhat helpful. (I need a nighttime moisturizer to help with dry sinuses and dry eyes in winter.) I might have liked the 1.5-gallon model better. The overall design is well thought out to make the humidifier easy to fill/refill, easy to set up and easy to clean. The humidifier is very quiet, except that the tank sometimes makes gurgling noises. The visible color coding (purple, pink, orange-red) for cold, warm and hot steam settings is a great feature. Please note that this product is a humidifier and NOT a vaporizer. Nothing (like Vicks VapoSteam) should be added to the water to help with a cough or a blocked sinus.
