This reverse probe set came in very handy when measuring voltage and resistance in vehicle wires. Be careful when handling as the tips are VERY sharp and can easily penetrate skin. Each sensor is supplied with a clear rubber cap to protect the tip and the person using it. However, the cap can easily be lost. This kit helped me troubleshoot a problem between the in-vehicle unit fuse box and the engine control unit (ECU). The needle is thin enough to fit between the connector housing and the pin, but still makes electrical contact. The durability of the Sensors is good but I noticed this 1 needle fell out of socket. It can be reinserted, but there is nothing locking the needle in place. As long as the needle is supported during removal and installation, this shouldn't be a problem. It's a delicate part, so it won't take much effort to eat it. A NOTICE. These probes are not designed to pierce the cable's protective sheath. It is designed to make contact with a metal pin or socket in a connector without damaging that connector.
