Great for inflight entertainment and/or many other functions. I bought this for my 2 year old to have fun on a 6 hour flight to Hawaii. My son, wife and I were able to watch different movies on different devices from 35,000 feet! Also, while I'm perfectly happy with the above, I'm not a techie and I'm having trouble figuring out how to back up my iPhone to hard drive as well. I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon and after one return and a fourth email exchange I was able to sort things out. I was very impressed with the customer service. When looking at the battery life, I noticed that the WLAN function lasted about 10 hours with just one device. I streamed to three devices during the flight and it took 5.5 hours. Anyway, I was very impressed. (Don't forget you can charge other USB devices with this drive's battery) I found the device and app very easy to use. Here are a few tips: When you plug the drive into the computer's USB port, it works like a normal external hard drive, pressing the button is just for WiFi broadcasting. However, you cannot use the WiFi broadcast function and the hard disk at the same time. So just download the app, set it up (I reformatted it to exFat to make it more workable on my wife's Mac), then download the files you want to your hard drive. After everything is downloaded to the hard drive, press and hold the WiFi button and try to access it from the SSKCloud app on your devices. I recommend this product to everyone, I'm still excited to see the many different ways I can use its Wi-Fi capabilities for storage and access to media options
