Like most reviews I am disappointed. I think I now understand why most people burn their hands/fingers. When the mug thinks it's empty or filled with cold liquid, it ignites heat - so fast! There must be some kind of temperature sensor in there because whenever I pour some hot water in (from my kettle) and touch the bottom it seems to stay cold. But whenever the cup is empty, the bottom gets very hot. So my question is at what exact temperature does it burn if it contains liquid? I give two stars for the cup itself. I had one a long time ago (pre-internet days), same way this electric mug worked.
