Review on Olympus M. Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f1.8 (Silver) Lens for Micro 4/3 Cameras - International Version: Enhanced Photography Experience, No Warranty by Bali ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product for me, I was satisfied with the price.

As a portrait lens, unexpectedly good, criticism mainly concerns the configuration. From what was expected: it is desirable to work on a fully open hole - after all, the M4 / 3 system with background blur is inferior to APS-C systems and even more so to FF, and comparable to portrait lenses from SLRs, Olympus ED 75mm f / 1.8, costs immeasurably. Compared in manual focus mode (I have an E-M10) through adapters with lenses: Helios 81N, Kaleinar 5N, Helios 44-3. The Olympus M. Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 distorts less even in RAW, especially when it comes to chromaticity - manual lenses have it more pronounced.

Pros
  • Small, light. At the same time, a wonderful portrait painter. Inexpensive. Fast and accurate focusing. Marriage in focusing does not exceed 10%, and even then I suspect myself of it.
Cons
  • There is no hood, it is completed only with lids. Expensive light filters and those not available for free sale - I found them and a hood only on E-bay. The lack of an aperture ring is inconvenient for me.
