A standard P Trap didn't fit under my bathroom sink because the cabinet was too close to the bottom of the sink. This kit, with flexible pipe, allowed a slight bend, which accommodated the drain. Not only that, but the flexible pipe is smooth inside, not corrugated as another flexible pipe I tried was. This one won't trap debris like the others. Furthermore, I'm impressed at the quality of the fittings, and the rubber (rather than plastic) gaskets, not to mention the extra pieces included for easier adaptation to diverse connections and configurations. Overall, this is a great value.
