Review on 💻 ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX Motherboard- PCIe 4.0, Aura Sync RGB Lighting, 2.5 Gbps & Intel Gigabit LAN, WIFI 6 (802.11Ax), Dual M.2 Heatsinks by Cary Clemons

I bought this board for use in a virtualization/hypervisor server because it has two NICs and it's cheaper than the professional versions. Start the Proxmox hypervisor. I've set up a few of these servers so I'm fairly familiar with the ins and outs of setting something up, but I just couldn't get this board to work. All relevant settings in the BIOS were enabled, CPU virtualization, IOMMU etc. As a last resort I even tried a patched ACS kernel. Looks like a bug or something in the BIOS is not enabling the IOMMU. Whatever the problem, it cannot be used if you want to use PCIe devices like GPUs to host virtual machines.
