I read reviews saying air leaks but I bought it anyway because I've found in the past the reviews weren't accurate , because people didn't use the items properly or simply didn't follow the instructions. In this case, however, the ratings were correct. Leakage occurs at the female end that connects to the compressor. I tried plumbing tape as suggested by one of the other reviews and it helped a bit. As a result, the compressor does not turn on as often as when connected without a tape. The problem seems to be that there is no rubber washer or insert on the female end to seal the connection. So I would advise looking for another product with a secure connection. The pin ends connected to the hoses work well, but I wouldn't buy this again.
