If you need a dimmable lamp, I recommend a different bulb. The front of the box says "Dimming power may vary," and it's clear why. You can see it on one of the product images. I wish I could see that before buying. When I turn the dimmer to the lowest setting these bulbs go out. Other bulbs that I have in the same lamp do not turn off. The lamp flickers at lower brightness settings and eventually works as I expected above half brightness. These bulbs hum a little louder than my other bulbs when not at full brightness. The dimmer switch I have is for LED bulbs, so it's not just a compatibility issue. If you need a lamp that doesn't dim, then this lamp is for you. But in this case, you need to get another light bulb that cannot dim.
