Review on Macally Rotatable Samsung Smartphones MCUPXL by Nathan Tsugawa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for cup holders, "meets all requirements ".

I was very happy with this product (or one of several brands available). I'll admit it takes a little getting used to trying to rotate the base piece to fit snugly in the cup holder. The phone frame holder has a handy button that allows the sides to slide out wider to accommodate the phone. size, and then all you have to do is slide the frame's side handles back along the phone to frame it securely. The "frame holder" for the phone should easily fit most phones - it fits my iPhone 6plus and I've made sure it fits larger and smaller phones as well. My only complaint is that I think the bottom "edge" of the phone holder is narrow and this makes it a bit difficult to place the phone when you have a phone case on your phone. My protective phone case isn't really that thick, but it took me a few tries to get the phone secure enough that we could bend our arm at just the right angle for comfortable viewing without the phone slipping out. However, I was able to set everything up and align it so that my husband and I could easily search it for GPS directions etc. (Our car has its own GPS system, but we no longer subscribe to this service, so the program is not updated - that's why we rely on our Google Maps program in our iPhones.). I think this item also provides a safer hands-free environment when there is an incoming call or message etc. ADDED AFTER PAIRING: Well I probably would have left my rating at 4 stars anyway, but only because I noticed that some buyers were finding that they had more "problems" with other brands of this type of product. PLEASE NOTE that if you're trying to manipulate the neck area to get the right angle, you're doing it with the neck, not the phone holder part. While you may think that the side grips will hold your phone/case in place, it can easily detach and fall out! The lip area on the bottom of the phone holder has two small feet that "rock" to help you position your phone; But even with a thinner phone case -- with a premium silicone or rubber backing -- the rubber/foam side grips still don't guarantee a secure, snug fit. Try positioning your phone before you go on a trip, because the last thing you want is the added hassle of your phone falling out when you should be concentrating on the road and its surroundings rather than worrying about trying to get your phone back that is now underground. passenger seat! I don't think I would buy a cup holder like this again as it got a bit frustrating when my husband and I were traveling together and he felt like he couldn't get his cup in and out. his cup holder, and this sits next to him. LMAO. Does my son prefer a dashboard mount with a magnetic mount? He thinks it's safer for him because it's at window level and he doesn't have to face the road much. . easier to perceive with peripheral vision. I believe if you pass a no phone zone it can be removed. However, I'm wondering how the police can challenge someone who uses their phone while driving like any stationary GPS navigator that doesn't require hands. Even the GPS units in our cars (if you ever want to pay for those subscriptions to keep them updated) require us to look at them from time to time for directions, and the radio requires us to take a hand from turning the steering wheel. button or press the button. That, of course, falls into a completely different topic. . . Happy trails!
