Review on Airaid Cold Air Intake System: Boost Horsepower, Advanced Filtration - 2007-2011 JEEP (Wrangler, Wrangler III) Compatible - AIR-310-208 by Tyshawn Adams

I installed this on my 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 Door and it took about 45 minutes with some basic tools and limited knowledge of automotive mechanics. The instructions are complete and detailed. I can feel a definite improvement in torque and the usual sluggishness of the stock 3.8L V6 is gone! I finally have the "throttling" and power it takes to get up those hills when the car's loaded, and I guess Jeep wanted to cure that with the new 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar they've had since 2012 of the year for the Wrangler use. My gas mileage has improved from 18 to 21mpg combined city/highway, so it's a long-term investment. Acoustics are great, with a slight increase in "growl" under acceleration, but no "uncivilized" loud noise at idle or under normal acceleration, so no complaints. Let's face it, the JK isn't a muscle car and it doesn't have a business sound, but it certainly can sound better than a minivan.
