Installation starts at the bottom of the mirror (hole for bottom cameras) and then up - yes, that's right. You are stuck. We drove today (no trailer). I noticed a slight vibration in the extended wing mirror, but I don't think it can be avoided. Our other optional mirrors for our old truck have the same slight vibration. The color matches our mirror perfectly. The interior has anti-scratch foam at the contact points which ensures a snug fit when put on - I (wife) installed this as my husband is a retired locksmith and he keeps things on point. I'm worried it might break something because it only flips small items! I recommend a lighter firm touch to avoid possible tab clicking. Once on. THERE IS NO DOUBT, they stay in place until you remove them. The snug fit does not move or vibrate after the tabs are inserted. Only the outside mirror has a little vibration, not the device body. The extended mirror moves up, down, sideways and is stable after installation. VERY HAPPY
