Better option than OEM

This kit is a lot better than the original parts, especially if you have a lifted Jeep. This kit was used on a 1997 Cherokee XJ 4.5 stroke in 33. Installation was easy, like any other caliper and rotor replacement. Braking distances are now much shorter and the front drops when you brake hard. I recommend following the instructions during the break-in period. On one side the rotors are drilled and slotted and marked with a small label to indicate which side of the car they are to be fitted on and you can check this by the part number on the rim of the rotor. However, there is no part number listed anywhere on the calipers. The calipers are side dependent and if you install them backwards you will have air in the caliper that you will never be able to bleed, causing the pedal to disengage and stay on the floorplate. We would like to point out that the bleeder screw on the brake caliper must always be above the brake line.

Pros
  • Perforated and slotted zinc plated brake discs for maximum rust protection
Cons
  • Almost never
