This pull-out colander is a 10-factor! My sink is oversized (30" long + 18" wide + 13" deep) and it expands enough to fit on it. . It then shrinks to 14" for storage and the fact that it's flexible, makes it easy to place next to items in your kitchen cabinet This is perfect for peeling fruit and veg as you can cut on the countertop next to it, stick in and rinse in the sink I had a bit of a hard time getting it widened at first, but once the plastic tabs started sliding back and forth on the track you're good to go.Whether you have a small kitchen or are just looking for something easier to use than a large round metal colander, you've found it! [NOTE] I recommend pouring slowly and spreading the food evenly to distribute the weight if you throw something right away.The listing info says it's dishwasher safe so wash it with hot pasta water can go, but I will hand wash it just to be on the safe side.
