I was looking for cocktail straws but didn't want metal ones; So many of the metal straws I found weren't actually rustproof, and I don't want bits of the coating coming off while I'm drinking. I've also found many glass straws that have a very large internal diameter, meaning my Bloody Mary lasts for about two sips. They have the perfect diameter, are very well made and very durable. Sure, I dropped one on the tile floor and it shattered, but any glass can do that. They don't feel fragile and I'm not worried about them breaking when I use them. They are easy to clean in the dishwasher and the included small bristle brush is a good addition for cleaning.
