Cutting Edges Too Thick

After the metal wires snapped, I decided to try this for a change. However, the plastic blades are too thick and don't cut cleanly - and yes, I made sure to put a "sharp" edge on the egg. Also, the egg always sticks to the plastic - like I said, it just doesn't make clean cuts.

Pros

Versatile Use: Slicers can also be used for quickly slicing certain fruits, vegetables, dairy products, cakes and other soft foods. Like Kiwi, Strawberries, Bananas and Mushrooms
