So far it's amazing. I live in Alaska and it's getting cold, so the outside temperature has affected the temperature of my aquarium. This got him into the safe zone within 24 hours of me plugging in the heater. There is a star deduction for the handle for hanging the temperature. It's very difficult to spin, but I was able to get it to 32. It keeps the water temperature between 76-78 which is ideal for most fish.
