The training collar arrived yesterday and I connected the transmitter and receiver to the charger that came with it. It took about 2 hours to fully charge both devices. It is very convenient that you can charge both the transmitter and the receiver at the same time. Easy to read instructions and the transmitter is easy to use and easy to adjust to intensity levels. I gave the transmitter to the groom and took the receiver myself and walked about 100 meters and the receiver picked up the signal with no problem. I walked further and the receiver picked up the transmitter's signal at a distance of about 250 meters. That's what I went for, so I'm not sure about the max distance. Both transmitter and receiver are very well made. It comes with a guarantee. So far I am very satisfied with this training collar. I'm changing my rating from 5 to 2 stars because the receiver isn't working anymore. I've had the device for almost exactly 1 year. I used it 5 days a week for 2-3 months, then a few days a week for 2-3 months, and only occasionally after that. I plugged in the receiver to charge and now it's dead. Update: I re-ordered the same item on 09/08/2020 as the first one stopped working after 1 year. It also died. This is a receiver, not a handheld transmitter. Needless to say I am disappointed. When it works it's great, but its useful life for me is probably a year.
