Review on Homebrite 77102 Park N Place Battery-Operated Lights Stop Sign - Portable Parking Guide by Chris Hayes

Timely delivery and functionality, but quality problems

The product was shipped on time and got to me on time. I assembled the product and then pulled the tab that was supposed to protect the batteries. After pulling out the bulbs in the brake light, they should have somehow caught fire, but that didn't happen. I emailed the company yesterday and hope they get a response. The batteries look like watch batteries (round disks). It would be better if it used AAA batteries, which are cheaper and easier (more often) to replace. It should also be noted that the base is fairly light, so I decided to put a small spare bag of fertilizer on the base so it wouldn't move when the bumper hit it. The instructions helped you assemble the product, but did not describe how the product should work. Does the light flash when you approach and then stay on for a few seconds when the bumper touches it, or does it only light up when the bumper touches it (second way)? I'll look at the box tonight. I guess I would only know if a stop sign came on, but there's a problem with that. It may be described on the box, but I was only in the garage with instructions. So far I'm not impressed with the quality or the instructions. If the sign were illuminated it would be functional, but the weight is still an issue in my opinion. UPDATE:::: The company sent a replacement stop sign and it works if you touch the bumper. I changed from two stars to three stars because it is a simple and functional solution for parking management, the only drawbacks of which are its low weight (which can be compensated by putting something on the base) and the use of non-standard batteries are. . Ultimately, I would recommend this product as an easy way to prevent damage to your car or items in your garage.

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything
