Yes they absorb quickly BUT THE MAIN PROBLEM is that the surface stays wet for a very long time. It doesn't dry quickly. I tested it with an ounce of water and then waited 15 minutes and the surface was still wet. NOT GOOD FOR GUINEA PIGS BECAUSE GUINEA PIGS PISS EVERY 15 MINUTES and that is a fact about guinea pigs. So these urine pads do not keep your piglets dry. 5 star reviews are lies. 5 star reviewers probably work for the seller. I wish I had never bought them and I wish I had listened to the 1 star reviews
