I love this jug. It's smaller than my liter jug. But if you don't do much and just want to flavor tea, water, sangria. That's the right amount. Can hold 8 cups for sure but I've upped it to almost 10 cups. But as soon as you put the lid on, the fruit inside overflows. So the safe place is 8 or 9 cups of any liquid. The lid of the jug had a large or small strainer lid. The lid comes with a silicone ring around the lid to keep it in place. Also protects the glass jar from rocking the lid. It keeps the lid in place so you can pour your favorite drinks. It is also very easy to wash the jug by hand. The silicone ring can be removed if you don't want it to break the seal that holds it in place. This pitcher reacts very quickly to cold or heat. So if you're making a cold drink, it'll go faster because it cools faster. It also heats up faster. Overall, my favorite feature is the built-in filter on the lid.
