Just to be clear, this is a synopsis of the 10 foot cable that seems to come and go on this site. This is exactly what I wanted and needed. I have a "generator shed" near my office/store and the 4 pin twist lock I installed directly on the wiring to my fuse box has failed. Just before Hurricane Matthew. So I took the right outlet, installed it on the inside wall of the generator room and used it to get there. It worked flawlessly, flawlessly, nothing got hot or even hot and provided me with 240 volts at 30 amps for the duration of the hurricane. I use a dual switch to split 240 by 120 to both rails or tires in the service box. This powers the 240 volt water heater and all 120 volt appliances. The electricity was off here for about 36 hours, and the generator worked constantly, and the energy was transmitted through this cable all the time. Too bad I couldn't find a 5ft cable of the same quality and with the same end connections as this one. That was all I really needed, and the longer the wire, the higher the voltage loss. All in all, it worked out well. It is now an integral part of my emergency power system. When reviewing a product, I usually start with 5 stars and subtract stars for poor quality, poor construction, seller issues, etc. There have been no problems or problems with this cable. It did exactly what it was supposed to do, got it on time, the price was the lowest I could find on Revain for this type of product - I can't take my review off for nothing.
